Guidelines for Doctoral Studies at Uppsala university

The Guidelines describe the conditions that apply to the planning and implementation of doctoral studies at Uppsala University. The Guidelines constitute the University’s clarifications of the Higher Education Ordinance (1993:100). They are also based on the Admission and Grading Regulations for Doctoral Studies at Uppsala University (UFV 2022/729).

The guidelines are in effect from 1 January 2023. They also apply to doctoral students who started their doctoral studies prior to 1 January 2023, unless this would adversely affect their conditions.
